Its a 9 year old 1.8 petrol Peugeot. It's pretty much saleproof. What makes you think it's "very cheap"? It's cheap for a reason. ie nobody wants them.

    Thanks for your answer!

Would you recommend the same model in diesel? Why is it saleproof?

    Thanks!

It's sale proof because nobody wants larger cars with petrol engines and higher road tax. I'm not saying that the car in question is a bad buy. It could be a good buy for the right person looking fo a full sized car but does low mileage. €2.5K buys alot of car in this bracket though

The NCT is 6 months out so it's almost certain there's something wrong with it preventing it passing the NCT.

Basically it's unsaleable because, it's big, it's old for a French car, it's petrol, did I mention it's French ?

At nine years old a car is worth about 1/8th of its new price, so the asking price is by no means below average. This car is pre 2008 so it will be taxed on the old system, I don't know what the rate is but I would guess it's over €600 per year. They are not a very robust car for taking abuse but they could last a long time if minded. If you're going to buy you should look for a big reduction on that price, you might do well with the car but it is not bargain you think it is.
