Has anyone here ever had a putter lengthened? Is it a straightforward process?

Have a 33" that want to make 34"

Would most club pros be able to do this?

Should be no problem. Just take off grip, add an inch to the top of the shaft and replace grip (may have to cut off old grip & replace new one)

What he said, half hour max for local proshop, or get the gear yourself from eBay or gamola golf, I did it was year via proshop to convert my putter to a belly putter.

Question regarding putter lengths. Do you measure from the top of the shaft to the bottom of the shaft, or from the top of the shaft to the base of the putter for length?

What is a good glue to use when putting in the extension?

I needed to know that myself a little while ago when i suspected my 2nd hand utilty was lengthened and did the research.
Turns out all shaft lengths are measured from the top of the shaft/grip to the sole of the club head at the hosel.
    All the way basically.

Normally I would use Araldite, a glue which normally comes in red and white tubs and mixed together to activate. Use masking tape to ensure the extension has a very secure fit in the shaft and a good bonding surface.

Sometimes also useful to make a small punch on two or four opposing sides with a nail or similar once the extension is in place for added security (steel shafts only of course!)
