The code I have been given by Smart broadband for my router is http://192.168.1.254

Ive tried pening it in safari and firefox but it wont load up

Plug cable from mac into wifi router then try.

Once you get in to configure stuff you can dispense with cable.

If you still can't login then set your ip address manually 192.168.1.2.

I had a simliar issue with a mac. Look up the routers manual you may need to specify a port number.

Looking at the manual it doesn't mention a port number anywhere

Maybe you are using the wrong IP. Download something like angryip scanner and that will display all connected devices

Actually run a command prompt and type

    ipconfig /all

the default gateway should be the routers IP

I went to findmyip.org and pulled up my ip and then went to it directly(Which is probably what you describe above)

    Did the trick,Thanks Lads

So you logged in with the public address. Just remember that IP address is likely to change!
