Hair dye recommendations

I found my first gray hair yesterday (heartbreak)

So I've decided to bite the bullet and start colouring. I have chestnut/auburn-ish hair and don't want to stray too far from that.. maybe something a bit redder.. but not lighter.

Can I please get some recommendations for a really good shop bought hair dye kit? I haven't dyed my hair since my teens and I really don't have the funds for a salon job every few weeks :o

Also any other advice would be great.

    Thanks :)

How about henna? It sounds like the results won't be too far from your normal colour and it's good for your hair. It really does come out beautifully. Downsides are that it's messy and you can't dye over it but it sounds like it night work for you. Mark sure you get a really good henna though, there are some really good sites with loads of advice

Lush do henna, it's meant to be very messy but amazing.
Avoid the box dyes in the chemist, they will turn your hair to ****e.
