Primary school starting query

Our little girl is due to start primary in sept. all fine except we have been told that in the class there will be 8 boys and only 1 girl , ours. It is a small rural school. Our questions are - do we look elsewhere ? Or could be try to maybe start her now in a class where there is a better mix or is it not as much of a problem as we think ? All help appreciated.

With only 9 children that must be a multigrade class with senior infants or first in the same room. What is the mix like in the other classes? If there are other girls in the room there will still be a natural mix to socialise with.

It is also possible that another girl has not been registered yet.
My son was to be one of 3 boys. Now there is six boys and another girl in the class.
I also agree that the classroom will be mixed and there will be senior infant girls for her to pal with.

I would not dismiss totally looking at other schools in your area?
Would another school suit you in any way?

Thanks for advice , we are going to look at another school this week but had made up mind with this school , we are as suggested "comforted" by the fact that they will be mixed with seniors and also another girl could register
