What weight is the Panasonic frame?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 476 ✭✭Brendan Hennessy

    Hi 245

Just ran out to the shed!

The frame with BB, headset and seat post is 3kg or 7ilbs.

The frame was resprayed similar to Roche's Battaglin but the Panasonic Blue is clear underneath and the 531c transfer was protected . Frame has Gipiemme dropouts and fast back seatstays (which form part of seat cluster).

I could offer 60 for the Record chainset. I know it's a bit of a lowball but I can't really justify the expense. Still can't find a matching crank arm to the one I bought off you last year. :D

    Heh happy,

No doubt we could come to a deal! You go up €10 and 'll drop €10?

    Best wishes,

    Bren

Thanks Lennymc, the bars are 40-63 i.e. 40cm qide. Stem is short 70mm. A friend has an option till tomorrow on them. Are they the sizes you're looking for? The Sr are 43 wide and come with a 125mm stem. Brendan

    Hi again happy,

I may have come up with a 172.5 crank for you. Bren

    Hi Brendan,

Do you still have the Campagnolo C-Record, 1st Generation Rear Mech 1985 €80

If so would you be able to post to Enniskillen?

    Stephen

    Hi Stephen,

Yes, that would be no problem. PM Details etc and I'll check postage.

I'm curious, what are you building?!

    Brendan

    Always building Brendan.....

Currently building a Super U Raleigh Laurent Fignon replica....(completed except for white brake hoods and a back wheel, spokes were nickle plated and have coroded therefore not shiny, have to rebuild it:mad:)

Also Eddy Merckx Corsa with Campag Victory groupo...(needs a victory braze on front mech and set of ITM non grooved bars)

I have been trying to get these completed for months, cant get the bits I need at the right price....

Just bought a Raleigh 531 frame and am going to respray in Raleigh Panasonic colours. Might used the mech for that, although I remember the first time I saw these mechs was on the ANC halfords peugeot bikes and would love to build one of those so might get it just to have it for future build.

Hi, I'll offer the asking of 25 euro for the 600 pedals based on viewing a pic of them if you can email it to me - checked your pics but couldnt see them. What sort of condition are they in and will you post them? Cheers - hats off to you on the systeme u frame, brings back memories of Fignon!

    Thanks bsb,

I don't have a pic to hand but if you want to pm your mobile I can text a pic to you. They are in good nic. I'll be in Dublin tomorrow if that would suit - let me know this evening if you can.

Those frames were brought to you by Kettlo - but aren't they beautiful!

    Best wishes, Brendan

    Update; pending or withdrawn:

C Record Mech, Raleigh 531 Frame, Campag Chainset, Mavic Chainset, Ultegra Pedals, Cinelli Bars & Stem.

    Thanks, Brendan

Hey Brendan, unfortunately I can't really afford the Chainset (I probably shouldn't have even offered €60, I couldn't even really afford it at that :) )

Do you really have a line on a 172.5 crank arm? I've been looking for ages now.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 476 ✭✭Brendan Hennessy

    Hi R27

I think I'll be holding on to that saddle - I've a 50's and 60's project which it would suit.

    Sorry, Brendan
