quad pulling power

    thinking of getting a quad roller and just wondering would a 500cc quad be capable of pulling one, 600kgs max

    600kg on the road would be fine. 600kg in a field soft enough to roll would be another question? It could be very hard on it. I wouldn't put it behind mine.

    well I would probably never fill it depending on the condition of the field, fields are soft most of the time, too soft for tractor though.

    also hope to get a weed licker, I like the logic one, bit expensive though. Would the brissle type be better than the carpet type

    This quad fad seems to be a licence to print money for all these 'special attachments' manufacturers. Why is the equivalent tractor item so much cheaper? I never got it!

    cant beat the tractor if you have a suitable tractor and good land. A weed licker would be the right job for our small fields.

    Would a small chain Harrow, or section of a chain Harrow do much the same job , probAbly be easier on the quad ....

    never used one before are they any good. just a few silage fields I want rolled, neighbour said he could do it so that's that sorted. The quad has enough work to do in the bog without putting more strain on it
