About a year ago and a half ago I had an implant and crown to replace my front tooth. About an hour and a half ago I was playing football and got an elbow in the face. My nose was bleeding very heavily and initially I was worried I may have damaged my tooth. However after a good bit of washing out my mouth and cleaning up my nose I found that all blood was coming from my nose, none from my mouth.

Now, my lip and nose feel a bit banged up but my teeth are all solid, no pain at all putting any pressure on any of them, and gums haven't bled at all. Is it safe to assume that no damage has been done to the implant? Would there be any tell tale signs if there was an issue?

I'm guessing I'm grand and I'm just a bit sore from the impact but I'm just paranoid having lost a tooth from an impact injury before.

OP i have a front implant aswell and and play a lot of soccer and taken a few knocks without any issue.

If you're worried get it checked out.
I'm sure one of the dentists will give some more detail advice..

    Within reason!
I would say i got quite a few balls to the face(sounds very wrong)
But more than a few elbows too without issue, but for your own peace of mind maybe get it checked

I hope at this stage you both will be getting custom fitting mouthguards.
