Long story short, was just about to go down the road of buying a 25l drum of Exol 0w 30 from Lubetech (they've been raving about the stuff over on typeaccord for a while now) when I decide to do a search for Exol suppliers in Ireland.
The Oil Store out in Blanchardstown are the Irish distributors for Exol, so I gave them a ring yesterday, half expecting the prices to be a multiple of the UK price.

The 25l drum is €122 to get it delivered to Parcel Motel, who would then charge feck-knows-what because it's oversize/overweight (25Kg?).

The cheapest 25L I could find in a motor factors here was €168 - Comma 0w30 @ trade.

Anyways, The Oil Store were €120 for 20l of 0W 30, and I believe it's only fair to give an Irish business a mention on here, when they're trying to do business the right way, i.e. not ripping people off.

Anyway, I hope this is of help to all of ye who service your own motors.
