top hung upvc window not closing correctly

    as in the title the top of the window does not close flush when closed. its top hung 3 point locking. any advice appreciated

    Which ever side is not closing fully the hinge is strained and probly need replacing

    the whole width of the top that is not closing flush. does this mean both hinges are strained? thanks for reply.

    I would think so.Is the window closing everywhere else.I would go with the 2 hinges

    Yeah sounds like the hinges are banjaxed.

    There's a couple of different types of hinge (well at least there was when I was making them).
    We knew them as espag and shootbolt, and they come in different lengths according to the size of the sash
    Probably as well whip one off and bring it in to a window manufacturer or hardware supplier and let them match it up.

    Get a big screwdriver and bend those feckers back into line - that'll sort it.
