HELP! Need to find wide legged trousers ASAP for a 1940s play!!!

Hi folks,

Would love some help and advice....

I'm involved in a play in a few days that is set in 1943 in wartime Britain . My character is a lady of the modern times - one of the first women in the village to wear trousers! The fashion would have generally been high waisted and wide legged and plain in colour/pattern. For all intents and purposes they would be reasonably close to a pair of high waisted palazzos with legs that arent ridiculously wide. They would also be long enough to cover a pair of heels - which many palazzos arent as they are intended to be worn with flats or worn very short (ankle) length.

Thought Id get them no probelm and a few friends thought they had things to suit but it now turns out that Im trouserless and the show starts on the 18th!!! I keep finding perfect trousers on the internet only to find they're in the US and I'd never have them in time...

I love wide leg pants. I didn't realise they were even available anymore before this thread!

The bottom two pairs look great, in partuicular the last pair!!! Where did you find them?

Ah I see, ASOS. As I said unfortunately I wouldnt have any guarantee of gettign these on time from the US. All the perfect pairs I found online were in the US! I'd have to have them by Monday week for dress rehearsals and its just too risky..............

ASOS is based in the UK, and has an express delivery service . You'd have them by Wednesday if you ordered today - possibly sooner.
