I was wondering what it was like down there. I nearly signed up but couldn't make it in the end. Mad here so can only imagine the coast

Played there on Friday and it was in fantastic condition. First time there and hands down the best course I've ever played. Pity ye were called in today....

We're still on so hopefully it will ease and maybe a bit of sunshine, I played Cregmore Park yesterday and got soaked so hopefully the golf Gods will take pity

Even though the comp was over we were given the option of finishing the round if we liked. However it really was unplayable and the wind was getting stronger

Was crazy out there today.Played the full 18 but was ridiculous at times.Discussions were ongoing as to whether or not the competition will cancelled when I was leaving.87 was the best score I heard!I won't be posting mine in the relevant thread for obvious reasons

I played the full 18 on Sunday too. Only heard after the round that the Scratch Cup had been abandoned. Never played in wind like it. But i must say I still enjoyed it. It was hard work but you just had to try and shape shots and keep them under the wind. On the 11th I hit driver, 3 wood and was still 90 yardsfrom the green. Tried to punch a 7 iron under the wind but up it went into the air and finished up coming back towards me 30 yards short of the green!!! So 2 rounds there now for the €45.....how bad!!
