Michael Hurley, outsider folk musician and artist, is making a rare appearance at The Grand Social on May 3rd. Not to be missed by anyone with an interest in American roots music.

"The American singer/guitarist/artist Michael Hurley , known by friends as the Snock, Hi-Fi Snock, and Elwood Snock, has resided at the outer realms of the folk music scene for over 40 years. Hurley's debut album, "First Songs", was recorded for Folkways Records in 1965 on the same reel-to-reel machine that taped Lead Belly's Last Sessions."
