love swallows and love to see them back but there's no food source for them at the moment so i guess it will be a late season for them this year

None to be seen here yet, Always have up to 6 nests in an old cow shed and the birds raise 3 lots of chicks in each - that's an awful lot of young swallows!

My dad mentioned that they have reappeared this week down at home in West Mayo.

Saw the wee dirty beasts about 10 days Ago but saying that it is nice to see them the young fellow tells me they come back to the same place every year so i suppose it is home to them

There must be 20+ pairs nesting in and around our house but no sign of them this year. They will be lucky to get two sets of chicks hatched this year!

My dogs are so stupid, I want them to help bringing in the cows to milk, the dogs would prefer to chase swallows around the fields like idiots.

Yes they are back, but I don't know what they are living on, not too many flies around yet.

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.
