    Hi,

I have my NCT tomorrow so got the car checked and serviced earlier today.

I parked the car at the local shop this evening and came out to find the passenger wing mirror broken. The majority of the the glass is still in it but a bit has gone.

The test is 9am in the morning so don't have the time to get to a garage in the morning.

Can they refuse to test based on this or is it something that they can fail me on?

    Thanks

    CBTC

They will fail you for that.
However I think it will be only visual retest after that.

Also you can go to one of 24h halfords centres and buy a mirror glass today.

You can purchase a replacement mirror that simply sticks over the broken glass.

As said above it will fail but with it just being a visual they you could go get the mirror replaced as soon as and have it back in the same day and they will pass it. Thats what i done with the GFs car as her headlight fitting was missing a bolt so it was loose they looked at it as soon as it was brought in the next day.

if you cant get one before the test just mention it to the tester after the test that you will be back in a few mins had a similar thing myself once and came back 30mins later got me cert and went home
