Lads im new to cycling, I got a pair of cheap shorts but there an awful fit & very poor padding. Can some one recommend me a pair of good fitting padded shorts. I have a Trek 1.2, saddle is standard one which aint too comfy either, thinking of upgrading but not sure to what. Thanks for any help.

Have you been fitted on the bike.
I didn't like my stock saddle either and bought a Selle Italia Maxflite Gel Flow Saddle and wasn't gone on it either.
I then went for a bike fit with James in Bikefit.ie in Oranmore and the saddle literally fits like a glove....
The selle italia is wider than normal which is what I wanted.

What are you finding wrong with your saddle...

    Hi Liam.
I have rucanor shorts which have good padding and are comfortable.Make sure you buy the correct fitting shorts before buy a new saddle which could cost considerably more.
