    Hi,

I have a client who is looking to purchase an Irish domain name.  The domain name is taken, but the company that it's attached seems to be out of business.  The domain expires next January.

Is there a process to apply for the name, or to purchase from the current owner?

If the domain is already registered then you can't register it ..

If you can contact the existing registrant and reach some kind of agreement with them that's a different matter
