Chalice appraisal?

My Dad reckons he has found 16th century silver chalice that has been coated in copper (to hide it when churches were raided!?) (image attached). There is no markings on it except for a strange stamp which looks a bit like a trophy with flowers in it. It does seem quite old but I have no idea where I would take it to verify. I am pretty sure it's worthless but I would like to humor him!

Could anyone suggest where I could take something like this?

Can you put up another shot of the piece in its entirety ?

From the image provided it looks more like a goblet, the engraving is a family crest - which indicates more domestic use rather than ecclesiastical.

It is likely to be late-18th or 19th century ........ but lets see the full object so we can match the style.shape with a more accurate date !
