I am trying to rename attributes in a MapInfo file with the rename attribute transformer in FME. While it seems show the changes when inspected in the Universal Viewer I cannot see the changes when I open the browser in MapInfo. Any ideas?

Is the MapInfo file fully native? (i.e. there is a .DAT file which contains the attributes, rather than, say, .XLS, or .ACCDB)
