Worktop for outdoor BBQ

    Hi all

I'm having paving and a built in BBQ done in my garden, the guys are nearly finished and I'm trying to source a worktop thats suitable for outdoors. I've emailed about 10 kitchen, stone, marble companies and they're quote range in price from €900 to €465. I really can't afford that, I was thinking €200 tops. Any ideas on what I can use, thats cheaper, thought of the granite paving I'm using, but apparently it's too porous and heavy for the built in BBQ.

Is there any kind of stainless steal option thats suitable that won't rust? the size is 60 x 175 and second piece 60 x 100xm. The BBQ goes in the middle so I need two pieces or one piece that's easily cut.

    Thanks all

I'm contemplating a tile on wood worktop for my back. Not sure yet if it's work but could be cheap enough to be semi disposable. It'll either rot in 5 months or last for years...

    How about concrete.
