    Interesting read

20% of Republicans believe Obama is the anti-Christ

58% of Republicans believe that Global Warming is a hoax

I am pretty surprised at the high numbers

Correct me if I'm wrong but you seem to be making a connection between people who believe Obama is the Anti-Christ and those that believe Global Warming is a hoax?

I don't believe Obama is the Anti-Christ but I do believe we're being mislead on the issue of climate change.

Walking to the shop yesterday with freezing temperatures in April makes me believe the changes in our climate are cyclical. Each year, the climate where I live has gradually become colder.

Humans haven't studied the climate long enough to understand the changes.
Our ancient ancestors most likely lived through similar events long before us, migrating as most animals do when seasons change.

Scientists are not infallible and we should question their research more without being labeled "kooks" or be equated with those who believe Obama is the Anti-Christ.

Yes, the climate is changing but what causes it isn't absolutely clear.
I'm inclined to believe it has more to do with our sun and earth's magnetic field.

If we look at the sun, it's magnetic field reverses every 11 years so perhaps earth is going through a reversal right now, affecting the climate as it does.

    Questioning research is one thing.
Deciding global warming is a hoax, involving amongst others virtually the entire climate science community, is for most deserving of the label "kook".

Well, on the bright side - a whopping 94% of Democrats agree that Obama is not the Dark Lord.:p

well if the climate science community comes out and says their is no such thing as man made climate change then suddenly its not sexy so less grants and funding for research.
    turkeys wont vote for christmas.

58% of Republicans believe it's a hoax with something like 77% of Democrats believing the opposite

It's more to do with education and psychology than anything. Some 40% of Americans believe humans lived at the same time as dinosaurs.. a third of Russians believe the sun rotates around the Earth..

As for global warming, it's -1 outside and it's April, so anecdotally..

63% of Republicans in a poll still believe Iraq had WMD. :D

To be fair I think it's more of a case that the less educated sway towards conservatism. However this is not to say that all republicans are idiots, just that the party will have a greater proportion that believe silly things.

Nearly 60% not believing in global warming is not as a result of research or even basic knowledge on the subject. They are ignorant of the fact that ice caps are melting, sea temperatures are rising and we're getting more extreme weather in general be it cold or hot.

No mention of anyone who isn't affiliated with either party in the article. It's either Republicans or Democrats. There's nearly 40 political parties in the US not including independents.

Reportedly up 20% of "republicans" voted for Obama. And 14 elected Republican party members endorsed him apparently. Just the same way Regan tapped into Democratic discontent and collected votes.

I know it's a bit of fun an all but just saying like... And Republicans are dicks anyway! :-)
