Heading to Collingwood Carlton on Sunday, gonna be a cracker hopefully! Pies should get up with the Carlton injuries, particularly Betts.

Might even get up to Vic Park for a bit of the reserves game to watch Mooney in action.

Cheers for posting the teams Doc, the AFL website is genuinely the worst site I've ever used, I've seen TY students develop more functional websites.

Just recovering from the nightmare that was a Port Adelaide hammering last weekend. I'm dreading the Essendon game tomorrow night.
Highlight of last weekend was the bartender at the MCG telling me, the only good thing about being a Demons supporter is we get to drink full strength beer for most of the season

A.Schneider & B.Ellis named as green vests for the St. Kilda vs Richmond game. No late withdrawls.

I think the Saints are going to be the whipping boys of the league this year. Bottom 4 finish.

I think the Saints are going to be the whipping boys of the league this year. Bottom 4 finish.

I think their only saving grace is GCS, GWS and melbourne are guaranteed bottom 3, so they will be fighting with a few like the doggies and Port Adelaide, who both have made decent starts. So I too could see them finishing in 4th last. Some fall from grace.

It was a decent enough game today tho. Jack Riewoldt making the headlines I'm sure, but Martin is a fine player. If he keeps his head and doesnt go mental, he could be one of the best in the comp soon.

what was he doing standing so close to it and then watching the ball sail into the crowd? should have had more awareness of the players! bad injury though, got a big hit.

its the one thing that amuses me somewhat about the goal umpires, the way they will stand under the ball with their legs stradled and head tilted right back as it sails over their head going right down the middle, and there could be a pile of 6 foot 4 players launching themselves at the umpire!

Dangerfield stood up at the end of the Adelaide game to kick 2 superb goals which saw them win through in a very tight game.

Hanley was brilliant for Brisbane, pretty much carried them on his back for most of the game. Genuine superstar now.

    Melbourne are really, really screwed

That collingwood Carlton game was a superb one. REally ebbed and flowed. Thought Carlton were going to see it out at 3 quarter time. How ins gods name did Elliot get so open for all his goals though. Tuohy getting a bit of blame for it, but not sure he was fully at fault. He had a poor game, I forgot he was even playing until near the end. Mart Clarke was excellent though for the Pies. Even challenging in the air which isnt his strong point. Kicked a lovely goal too. Great game though for only the second round.

I got 8/9 tipping this week, Lions being my downfall. Eagles are not going well.

I thought it was a fantastic game and the atmosphere in the stadium was something else. Great to come out on top in an arm wrestle like that, particularly after losing Jolly so early.

Clarke had a great game, seems to developing a better contested game, both in the air and on the ground and his kicking was generally very good. He'll need to keep that level up though because we still have 5 or 6 first teamers to come back.

Xavi and Bruschi, what do you reckon is up with the Eagles? Just the injuries catching up with them/lack of depth? NicNat is still a good few weeks off by the sounds of it so Top 4 must be an outside bet even at this stage, especially as they're 0-2 in Patersons

Slightly disingenous stat, Eagles were the away team for the derby.

Losing LeCras was a blow and there isn't a second ruck worth mentioning. Lycett was dirt in Round 1 and Sinclair is mature age rookie. Hardly confidence inspiring.

They aren't getting the ball inside 50 enough. Look at the stats and they're quite even against both sides overall except for that. They've been pounded both times. A lacklustre Shuey is contrinuting to that.

Very early days so I'm not worried. If we lose to Melbourne however...

As much as I'd like to see this happen, The Eagles could go out with boxing gloves and clown shoes on and still beat them out of the park
