Being messed around by would-be employer

    I had a job interview about a month ago, then a second interview for the same job. However, then I received a PFO in the post :rolleyes:

    But last week the same company rang me out of the blue and said that another job had come up and offered me a trial for half a day on Tuesday (yesterday)
    But when I got there, I was brought into a room and given another interview, being told that I would hear back by the end of the week! WTF is going on here? The job has now been posted on a recruitment site today (it wasn't there yesterday)

    PS I didn't say anything about the mix up as the person who was supposed to meet with me was not at the interview. I also thought that perhaps I had mis-heard what was said on the phone, but I took notes while on the call and after consulting my notes that was definitely what was said.

    I'm really annoyed about this because I was offered two other interviews for yesterday but obviously didn't take them up as I was due to have this (non-existent) trial.

    If anything I hope this is a warning to others not to count all your chickens :(
