Adding an Aux in to a Fiat 500 stereo?

My wife just bought an 2010 Fiat 500 lounge with the Blue&Me system. Now this system allows for a usb stick with mp3's to be plugged in and played through the stereo, but my wife prefers to play mp3's from her phone, a galaxy s3 and stream internet radio stations. There is no aux in on the head unit, but does anyone know a way to retro fit one? most aftermarket devices are optimised for iphone/ipod so thats no good. We quite like the system so we'd rather not have to replace the entire head unit just for the sake of an aux in.

    Any help would be appreciated.

...why not just use the Blue & Me bluetooth connection ? - I use my Samsung SIII bluetooth output in my car (not Fiat), and it's a doddle.

No cables, and phone can be in her bag.

From what i can see Blue&me does not support A2DP, only phone calls. you can plug a usb stick with mp3's, or certain iphones/ipods into the usb port, but nothing else. i've tried my phone (xperia z) and hers (galaxy s3). I do have an iphone as a work phone but havent had a chance to try that yet.

*edit* I've discovered that the B&M software is updatable via the same usb slot, perhaps the A2DP feature can be added?

...that's most odd: that Fiat and Microsoft don't support A2DP............

anyhoo, a quick google search suggest this app for your phone would work... (dunno, haven't tried, myself.........) https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bedoig.BTmono&feature=search_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEsImNvbS5iZWRvaWcuQlRtb25vIl0.

There again, I'm assuming you've an android phone........

Yes, correct. The hardware supports it (I believe). If not, sure a firmware update is always nice. Version 6 is available.

Version 6 doesn't come with A2DP support I'm afraid. You can use something like this, http://fiat-500-usa-forum-archives.965414.n3.nabble.com/Blue-amp-Me-for-both-Phone-audio-amp-media-via-bluetooth-td2809454.html
    Amazon.co.uk has lots of these.

The android app mentioned above works but the quality is terrible.

Hang on, maybe i missed it, but the 500 lounge doesnt have a usb/aux in (what looks like) the glove box? theres only a usb port between the seats. It looks like that device needs an aux in, which leads me back to square 1.
