ESBI's Recent Recruitment Drive

Following ESBI's recent recruitment drive to coincide with CareerZoo back in February I sent in my CV for a civil engineering role.

To-date I have had no correspondence from ESBI bar the automatic response to acknowledge receipt of my CV. Obviously I understand if I have been unsuccessful I can't expect to hear anything but does anyone know if they've progressed things any further? Has anyone been called for interviews?

I've been trying to stay positive and I realise there's probably been hundreds of applicants but it's the not knowing that I'm finding difficult! Any knowledge anyone has would be greatly appreciated.

I'm in the same boat as you: only an automated reply, nothing else

I heard, through the grapevine, that this was mostly just for publicity as they have only just signed some contracts for projects and are quite a while away from hiring anyone yet.

hmm, i uploaded my CV to the ESB careers site , candidate manager and did'nt get any automatic email or acknowledgement

annfield1978 I received an automated email because I applied for a specific vacancy. You probably uploaded your details, including your CV, to your profile but unless there's a specific vacancy that you then apply for I don't think you'll get an email.

Still no word from anyone at ESBI. Probably missed out on the positions but speaking to existing ESBI staff they haven't seen any sign of any new-starts / interviewees. Probably right Jellybean28 about the recruitment being a while away yet...
