I would recommend an i5 ivy bridge. Im using an i3 2100 (sandy bridge) with a 5770 and it runs everything max settings so an i5 will keep you going for awhile. Last time I was looking at prices ivy bridge wasnt out so I dont know which is the best vale.

Yeah, since you have the Z77 motherboard, you might as well go for the 3570K and get the best out of your system. There'd be no need to upgrade for a long time with that.
