Help me find rattle

My car has developed a really annoying rattle which sounds like it's coming from the roof/windscreen directly above the driver's sunvisor. It was intermittent but is there nearly all the time now. I've taken apart a lot of the trim and i'm no closer to finding it and it's wrecking my head.

Could the windscreen itself be loose? It seems fine but is there anyway to tell?

    Take it through a carwash.

A/S/L or year, make and model of car?

Have you tried feeling around the roof liner gently pushing the windscreen while someone looks from outside? Unclip the sunvisors and also check the cabin light bulb/fitting hasn't come loose. Remove every item from the car, change, pens, crap in the boot and take it for a drive.

I've taken the sunvisors, interior lights, A pillar trim off - also taped down all the wires but didn't help

Will try and stick one up tomorrow - noise starts immediately after i move off which has me thinking about the windscreen itself.

Are you sure it's not coming from under the bonnet?
Try opening the bonnet a little (on the safety catch) - and take a small drive and see if the rattle is still there.
