It would be a shame to hide my good looks.

I have one of these already and it was fantastic during the winter.

I think they are stupid looking and unnecessary.

A winter cap will cover your ears and forehead and keep lots of heat in. A buff around your neck can be raised/lowered as necessary to protect your nose.

Aside from looking silly, they just look plain uncomfortable.

Agree with the cap. I tried the buff but I can't stand it when it gets damp/wet from the moisture when breathing. I couldn't care what I look like so appearance doesn't bother me and they are really comfortable. Well worth the 8€ IMO.

Used a light fleece skiing balaclava, which covered chin, ears, neck and forehead. Nose or mouth not covered.
Had on etape ras mumhan and very early morning 4hr ride on Tues. Both cold days and couldn't have been warmer.
No idea what it cost haven't being skiing in 5 years!

Whatever about keeping warm (I must be cycling in my own little micro-climate cos a buff and a cap has been fine all winter) these look fugly.

Unless you are a costumed crime fighter in which case go for it Hit Girl.

I'm also a great fan of the "Buff"!! One under my helmet and if it's really cold a second one around my neck which can be pulled up over your mouth if it gets really cold (maybe twice this year!)

Neoprene, is an awfully sweaty damp attracting material. It certainly wouldnt be my first choice of something to be breathing into.

There is no way i would recommend this to anyone.

    I'm more of a neck-gaiter man myself.
