    Does anybody know how you can check the wattage use of you pc??

    only way to actually know is with a kill-o-watt or similar meter, and even then it's not taking into account PSU inefficiencies.

    what question are you actually trying to ask?

    I just wanted to know how much my gaming pc would use while im playing games on it.

    Is this a PC you have yet to build, or something you have already?

    If you don't have it yet, look for reviews using the same GPU, and take that as a rough figure.
    If you do have it, go buy one of these and plug it in.

    I have that power meter and all my PC equipment (including 46" display) are taking 420W. That's when idling. When TV is off and PC idle, it goes down to 200W.
    Of course it all depends on PC components, PSU and graphics card.
    Since my graphics card is 480GTX (rated 250W), I would be looking at well over 500W when playing games. I was probably afraid to check....
