Is this the norm? Tax Evasion

    Hi!

Recently when working I look into the company file for the job (as I usually do) and noticed on the invoice there was no tax to be pay?

It was a small invoice (€350) but the no tax bothered me! Is this a fault with the invoice or are they not reporting the invoice to the revenue office and is this tax evasion? As a accounting student I wouldn't want to be working for a company that is itself evading tax

usually I would see tax of €90 ect so but I know I have seen this before just not really cared! I reckon it could equal MAYBE €3000-€4000 a year(estimate)

Are they evading tax or is the invoice just wrong? Prob not going to do anything about it just curious :) !

As you are an accounting student, I recommend that you read up a bit on the subject of VAT registration limits, and also the other circumstances where suppliers quite legitimately do not charge VAT on an invoice to a customer.
