Sound Skipping When Using HDMI Port

I recently switched from using a Scart cable on my Sky+HD box to using a HDMI cable.

There now seems to be an issue where every few minutes the sound will disappear for a couple of seconds, then come back.

I don't believe it's the dish as I was watching a recorded show and rewound where there was a skip and the audio actually played on playback.

I tried a new HDMI cable today and it seemed to work for a few hours, then started happening again.

    I have a Sony Bravia 32 inch.

    Any ideas?
