Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Biochemistry

Hello, hoping someone here can point me in the right direction.

A lot of the articles I have been reading over the past year or so (nutrition, exercise, mood, the mind/brain) seem to rely on, or at the very least allude to, biochemistry. I'd like to get some understanding of this subject as it seems a fascinating area to me and my unscientific micro brain.

I've never studied biology beyond general junior cert science (which was half my lifetime ago) so to say I am a beginner would be more than apt. I was hoping someone here could point me towards a good introductory book, maybe also some sort of biology text to lay the foundation.

I found that you can't go wrong with the "... For Dummies" books. Used their genetics one quite a bit in my undergrad...
