Where to buy buttons and push-in nails in the city centre

Not necessarily in the same shop! :P

I need to get buttons for a dress, and nails for hanging speakers. The buttons I need are a fairly specific size, so I'd be looking for a specialist store. I didn't realise the Woolen Mills is closed now.

The nails I'm hoping to get are those push in ones, rather than the ones you have to hammer.

I have no idea where to get these things in Dublin city! Any ideas would be great.

    Thanks!!

Edit: I'd be hoping to get them in Dublin 1 if possible. Thanks!

Cheers. I think that might be the Woolen Mills though (sadly closed).

Haberdashery is exactly the word I was looking for though! Found a place on Capel Street that does buttons. I could probably find the nails along there too.

Whilst on Capel Street, pop into Lenehan's. They'll most likely have the nails you're looking for.

Do you mean Beads & Bling on Wellington Quay - they mainly sell beads & such, but do have a small amount of buttons. Great shop!

WM Trimmings on Capel St (and if you ask nicely in their wholesalers in Fashion City) are the successor to the Woolen Mills, and should have plenty of buttons. And it's only a hope skip & a jump up the street to Lenehan's.

BTW - I've never heard of push in nails, thought of manicures at first, not walls ... sounds intriguing

    :D
