    so ive been looking into hitchhiking for the summer across southern parts of europe, mostly spain france and italy...maybe Switzerland and Portugal too

    i was wondering has anyone done this before? and how was it? or do you know anyone doing it or who has done it? plus advice on gear would be handy. thanks.

    i plan to go extremely low budget.
    i dont need to be told that i will get killed and that its dangerous and that its illegal from people who have never even stepped out their front door. ive traveled before, i know what it can be like, so no scare mongering please. if you have legitimate advice, id be glad to hear it. thanks
