€100 ikea gift card for very €600 spent in bedrooms

Does anyone know how the gift voucher system works in ikea?

There is an offer at the moment that if you spend €600 in the bedroom section you receive a €100 gift card for ikea.

We are building a new house and had planned to buy all our wardrobes & a few beds and mattresses from ikea totalling about €2500 - so if we bought the beds and mattresses in bundles of €600 we should get a few €100 gift vouchers use on the same day to help save money. We are travelling up for the day with a borrowed van and hoped to buy everything there and use the vouchers to pay for some other bookcases, bathroom stuff etc after we had bought all the bedroom stuff.

Has anyone bought anything like that before - sometimes the terms and conditions of these gift vouchers don't always work the way we'd like, any advise appreciated - thanks

There's no problem with this - I did the same with a similar kitchen offer.

If you plan your spending in advance you just need to spend to just over the nearest multiple of €600 and use the vouchers to cover the rest of the cost or thereabouts.

I did the same with the kitchen voucher. Buy your stuff and they give you an electronic card with the amount of the voucher on it. The card never expires.

Thanks for that macmansion - there was no problems with 1 per customer etc and you could use the vouchers on the same day ?

    Got this offer last week.

Spend €600 or more on bedroom stuff, go up to a member of staff (not the checkout, the information stations dotted around the store) and ask for a voucher.

Then when you go to checkout, show them the docket you got from a member of staff, they'll give you a €100 gift card. It doesn't have to be spent n the current purchase ;)

Phone them seems to be your standard smartars& reply to a lot of genuine questions on here.

Once again thankfully the op and other posters have ignored your troll reply and you have been proved wrong as the query has been answered by other helpful posters

Yes you can use the vouchers on the same day or at any other time for bedroom items or for whatever you wish.
