Navara (stuck in 4wd)

    Please can anyone give advice on getting navara 06 out of 4wd. It got stuck today and i cant get it back to 2wd. Have tried reversing and ramps.Any advice please. Thanks.

    Common issue in these cars.
    How far did you reverse? Try again for several hundred meters, preferably in a straight line.

    It can take up to 2 minutes to disengage 4wd, if you have been using it on hard surfaces it may be jammed - you MUST not use it unless you actually need it
    Or - jack it up on to 4 axle stands and run it in the air and switch it back to 2WD/

    Jacking just one front wheel up should be enough to release the transmission wind-up unless it's well and truly jammed. If the raised wheel spins, your out of 2wd. If not, rock the wheel back and forth sharply, may be enough to free it.
