Anyone witness assault by a woman on the newspaper vendors at the junction of Malahide Road/Clare Hall this afternoon around 5pm? I was sitting in traffic when a blond haired woman started attacking one of the newspaper vendors. The other sellers ran to his aid but she was at this stage giving it loads - kicking, punching and even, spitting in his face - what was that all about?

Is it really for us to speculate?

Go to the Garda and provide a witness statement.

It's not for us to speculate. It's for people who witnessed it to speculate, like the OP asks.

Us folks that haven't witnessed it may respond like this:

Wow, that sounds pretty horrible. Did you notice if the vendor was badly hurt? What happened afterwards?

No point, she'll get off with it. Walk free. Un punished

There's no point in getting into a discussion about whether the perpetrator will be punished etc. Now that the OP has posted about the attack, anyone who witnessed it can contact the Gardai if they haven't already.

Sounds pretty vicious. Have you contacted the Gardai and told them you saw it happen OP?
