Would Lexus is200 be easier to insure than an altezza

    I know a few people that are young and wont be able due to insurance companies not taking them on to insure a tez, if they got a lexus is would it be different

    Some companies don't cover Japanese imports so yes you'd be right. Doesn't mean that the IS would be easy to insure though.

    How old are you? Is it your first car?

    no have a car already with a year driving expierance, still on prov license, but hopefully have full by time id consider getting one

    That's gonna hurt so :(

    Best thing to do is ring around and get quotes and ask yourself if its gonna be worth it. An IS isn't exactly fast and isn't nearly as desirable as it was 5 years ago.

    Off topic but are the insurers now withdrawing all cover for unaccompanied learner permit drivers. Axa certainly no longer seem to be providing cover according to a document enclosed with all renewals they sent out recently.

    if you drive the IS any way other than super slow it will be pretty thirsty. fortunately though, most of them are super slow.

    I was under the impression that unaccompanied drivers are covered third party?

    It's the theft issue on the Altezza and Jap imports in general that's the problem, any idiot can rob them as they have no immobilizer as standard.
