L200 03 with 97,000 on the clock, down on power and blowing black smoke,

I decided it was down to an injector fault. Took out the Injectors and sure enough one of them looked sootier than the other three.( i presume this is a bad one)

Replaced 2 of the 4 with some that had come out of another head. Engine now runs like a steam engine clouds of smoke, rough etc.

Presume because injectors are matched to the pump/head ! am I correct?

Is cleaning and replacing the nozzles on injectors all that is required in terms of servicing them, or are they adjusted or set up in a particular fashion?

Does anyone know a source for good nozzles?, in Cork preferably.

(at all times I am referring to old style injectors not these new fangled yokes with electronics built in)
