How to compare two images?

    Hi Im using Gimp at the moment and I would like to know how to compare two images. Is there a way i can have one image as the background and the other on top of it (being transparent)

    Just layer them up and change the opacity or blend mode of the top layer.
    Have a look on youtube for tutorials.
