I'm surprised by some very interesting interesting posts on boards which have received no replies

I noticed someone recently who has attempted to start some very interesting threads in the relevant sections and has not recieved any response yet i regularly see 100 page conversations about whether people prefer ketchup or mayo with their chips, ie subjects which dont really lend themselves to debate

I understand sometimes threads dont get off the ground because they initially receive no reply and people do not read the responses as there are none so very few people ever read the thread but in this case the person has posted in a specific forum that i would imagine those reading would have opinions

    Hoping this thread takes off

Not everybody wants to have an intense debate. My gut is people come into After Hours mainly for the craic. It's full of wind up merchants and smart arses, but that's what's interesting abt it.

I know after a hard days work or when I'm just chilling out, the last thing I want to talk abt is something serious.

Just to add, I prefer ketchup and it has to be Heinz...

Comedic posts usually get the most attention. Topics or posts which require a lot of thought/a long reply are usually passed over by the average user. Such is the way of internet forums.

After hours is the Hector of boards

It's the village idiot stumbling around Temple Bar after 15 pints and with a huge piss stain on the front of their Penny's jeans.

Have actually been employed by the govt recently as one of those internet forum posters who make really persuasive arguments supporting government decisions to stimulate propaganda.

Unfortunately i am not so smart so i will pose as a sinn fein supporter making really stupid points

I think that the banks should be dismantled brick by brick and everyone should be given their fare share of bricks. Except the middle class because only those on welfare get free bricks

I knew a girl called Interesti, but.. safe to say, she was more than just two letters away from being interesting.
