Hazel Tree - Root spacing?

I'm thinking about planting a row of Hazel tree's to act as a small shelter belt on the east side of our property, just to take the bite off the cold east winds. But I'm a little concerned if it's root system can damage walls and kerbing, as the particulare garden patch is very narrow.

It tappers from 3m - 1.5m and is approx 10 long, with kerbing and a wall on the sides. The property next to the site is just an abandoned site. Soil dept isn't a problem, I'm worried about it's spread and how far should I keep them from structures?
