Can anyone settle an argument please,
My dad swears he watched the tour come down the Kilmacud Road lower while my brother is adamant he couldn't have as it passed down the mount anville road onto fosters ave.
    Who's right?

It came down Lr. Kilmacud Rd, iirc. Couldn't it have been on both?

If I remember correctly it went up past the goat over mout anville hill and down fosters avenue. Not 100% sure though!

That's the logical direct route to take.

This is the best i can find so far. I'm 99.9% certain it went on the Lr Kilmacud Rd and the attached bears this out. It went through Dundrum (Roche's home place) and joined the N11 in Stillorgan. Via Lr Kilmacud Rd is the logical way to do this.

Of course it could just have easily (and logically, possibly more so) have gone down Foster Ave but i seem to recall Lr Kilmacud Road being closed.

I am from the area originally and watched it from outside Gerry Byrne's (Galloping Green) pub.

I am sure Cycling Ireland would confirm.

Myself, I only rode stage 3 - Slaney CC organised a 10 year anniversary spin which covered the route. So I have (sort of) ridden a stage of the tour!
