Just got a 2008 1.3cdti corsa van, UK reg, and would like to convert it into a car, it needs a door and wing repaired due to accident and is category C But vans do not need to be VIC tested ,,
Would i be better to convert it first in Northern Ireland or pay the Vrt on it as a van, bring it thru and convert it then.
Any help or advice much appreciated

    Ta

I'd imagine that'd cost a fair amount. Did ya get it cheap?

If your going to be converting it to a car, getting it vrt'd as a commercial won't wash. Tbh converting it isn't worth the hassle or the cost to do it IMO.

probably better getting it converted in NI first and bring it thru as a car then, think its about 350 to get it done properly and certified im told, the paperwork could be a bit of a hassle

Why not just buy a normal Corsa car and import it. They are too a penny in the UK. Can't see how you could save any money this route...the cost of adding new seats, windows etc would be high. Plus would it ever look/finish the "same" as a passanger factory model?
Are there even footwells in the rear of a Corsa van ...plus you'd have to carpet and trim the interior. Just sounds nuts to me for such a common car.
