New Ford Fiesta

    Hello to all!

I bought a brand new Ford Fiesta from a Ford dealer. When I went in to look at it he said the MySync was included in the offer, like the metalic paint, etc.

I never saw the any of this written down but I just took it for granted that it was all included as the dealer called me about the colour I wanted.

So I pick the car up, and he's telling me how to work the bits and pieces so I ask him about the MySync he's like no you don't get that you the Mykey!!

So I says to him, what the FOOK would i want the the MyKey thing, when I could have the MySync...It's the only reason why i went this this bloody car!!!

Anyway, he said he could get it for me but it the car would have to be de-reg'd, i'd have to wait 3-4 weeks and it would be an extra €600!!

Tells me I should get a "Parrot" put into my car...it's the same thing, but cheaper.

I'm so devastated :( My question is what's the best hands free thing for an iphone?:(

Thanks for reading my rant, i know it's my fault i should of got it in writing.

don't pay for it if you aren't happy that they are fulfilling the Contract you agreed on

Seems the car has already been picked up.

I don't think you'll win this one OP. There seems to have been a simple misunderstanding, and you took delivery without checking.

ya I signed all the paperwork first and then checked. It's my fault, i should of got it all in writing.

The dealer rang me during the week to see how things were going, so i brought it up again. I said I know you can't do anything now about it, but you did tell me that i was getting it with my car. We had a conversation about it on the first day.

He didn't admit it obviously, but he knew well I was right.

he said he'd give me a free watch and valet the car whenever i want.

Not so bad...at least they are making some effort to make amends. Buying a new car should be a great experience and not be dissapointing. New fiesta is a lovely car though all the same.

Tax? What's that, about €165? I'd rather the MySync!

Saw a rerun of Top Gear last night from about 5 years ago featuring the then newly launched Ford Fiesta. It got a good review then. Don't like the grill on the latest new one though - it's too large for the car.

Nice one, a free Brietling should ease the pain. ;)

The tax is €200 but they gave me €300, so I'm delighted with that!

Well i suppose the moral of the story here is to actually read what you sign for before you pay for it.

Amazing that someone will lay out thousands of Euro and not bother their arse reading the fine print.

Sorry OP, decent outcome in the end. But lesson learned for the future.

That in itself is an admission that they were wrong.
