Hi all, I have been on casual work for the last while with a company, and have now secured a job for 3 months, 5 days a week, with a different company.

When this few months is completed I will be going back to casual work with my original employer.

    My questions are,
1- Do I have to come off the x's and o's dockets for casual work or can I just keep sending them in as it will not be too long before I'm back doing casual work, and I will not be getting any cheques as I'm working 5 days a week, or do I need to sign off?

2- Do I need to inform the Social Welfare Office of my temporary change of employer?

Are you claiming JSA or JSB?

You will need to inform your local office ie you will need to sign off(I think) then sign back on.

Was hoping you wouldn't say that, as I have already started the job and as it's full time Mon-Fri I can't get a chance to call in to the SW office.
I had planned on just sending in my dockets marked o for the days I'm working and didn't think it would matter as I wont't be entitled to anything as I will have worked more than 3 days.

As you are claiming JSA the dept need to know your new terms and conditions re the means test, but as its 5 days a week you can sign off online at welfare.ie
