Audi A4 1.8 tfsi - 2009

    I am searching for a 1.8l petrol version of the above car to import from the UK, however I cannot seem to locate any with the 138g/km emissions. From my recollection there is a 1.8 petrol in Ireland (160PS) with these co2 emmissions. Is this engine specific to the Irish market?

    And yes, I know it may seem odd to import a petrol car, however the S-Line spec is virtually non-existent here in Ireland and the mileage is only about 5-7 thousand per annum.

    Any ideas?

    I think you are mistaken with those emissions. My 08 a5 is 169g co2 and it has same engine rated at 170 bhp.
    138 is where the diesel versions were at around that time.

    I suspect you are correct. I had taken the information from the Audi Ireland website.

    A4 Avant 2008 onwards, 1.8tfsi manual.

    I suspect that the models with 139 g/km only came out a few years after the car was introduced, because Audi have updated the engines in the car several times over the A4's life cycle to improve their CO2 emissions.

    For example, the 2.0 TDI 143 PS was rated at 144 g/km back when the car was introduced at the start of 2008, but by the end of the year it was already gone down to 139 g/km, which dropped it from tax band C to tax band B. Now, the 2.0 TDI 143 is down to 119 g/km.
