Hi folks
My car is due an NCT soon and I am wondering if it will pass , not long ago my car was hit by someone and they drove away ( not happy)
Anyway the left side rear light has a chip in it (abt 1.5 inches)just to the right top side of it and is in no way interfering with the workiing of the light
Should i get this fixed or just hope it will pass the nct

Is there a hole in it? If any white light from the bulb is coming from the rear you'll fail afaik.

Pretty sure you can tape it with some red tape though. That being said, I'm bot sure.

I know you can fail for a crack in a fog light but I think you may for one one the headlight
I would just put it through the test and see what happens should only be a free visual if it needs a retest

*sorry just seen its a tail light as long as you cant see white light from the bulb you should be grand

If it's on the rear you have to tape it up with the same colour tape.Not a guarantee pass though if you get someone who is picky.

Thanks for the reply's folks I shud have said ive the hole filled with white sillacone , but il send it in and see what happens

if it's small enough they mightn't even notice,usually they check lights from mirrors.

If you can run your hand fast over it without snagging it'll be grand.
NCT are concerned with safety of others.
