An article appeared in a local paper last week about the Navy and Wex CoCo being in talks for a carrier visit to Wexford for the John Barry Maritime Festival. has anyone heard anything else on this? uss navy article.jpg

I read that and if one does come you'll need binoculars to see it as it won't be able to moor anywhere close to shore.

Dont hold your breath on this all the carriers in the US fleet are nuclear and not a hope of one being allowed to come. The only chance you had is now mothballed JFK which was not nuclear.
