Best of luck to Dan and Keith in this. Dan seems to be in great shape anyway so hopefully we can see two great results.

Here's another runners preview of the mens field

Keith not running ACP. Just Dan to fly the flag, hes in good shape and sub 7 is a strong possibility. Strong field esp English who have 2 2.18 marathon runners, one who ran 68 in Bath half 3 weeks ago. Wouldnt bet against Dan tho.

Ireland did not have a team last year either, Keith won it after being sponsored to go there individually.

What a fantastic run by Dan. And particularly good to see him defeat the British sub 2:18 marathoners! He really is a phenomenal talent.

Unfortunately the above statement doesn't appear to be the case when you look at it from an organisational/governance point of view. Dan won this race (just like Keith last year) depsite, not because of, the support of the governing body. We have tons of potential, with a phenomenal collection of talent available to compete for Ireland. What we don't have any more is a governing body with both the will and and ability to see this potential utilised.
